People living in Ontario next to freeway 60 breath in the terrible air because of the bad air pollution caused by cars. That area has been identified to have the worst lung damaging soot in the area. People living in this area experience higher levels of lung related problems such as asthma. There is not much officials can do about it either since rerouting the freeway isn't really a plausible options.
I think this matters because it shows how one little freeway can actually damage the quality of life for some humans. This shows how much seemingly insignificant cars and overall human activity can so badly hurt the surrounding environment even to point where human lives are being damaged.
